this is my last hour in my first apartment in LA at the “Shangri-Lodge.” Last time it was this empty, I slept on a pile of dirty clothes my first 5 days here. My next door neighbor is a castle filled with a personality cult. Every single semi on the 101 I can feel under my feet.
I kicked ass at Earwolf here, I started Feral Audio in a month at that desk. It’s where I first recorded Dan Harmon, Erin McGathy, Jeff Davis, Eric Hoffman, Matt Dwyer, Brody Stevens, Little Esther, Sean Conroy, Mel Stephens and Ingrid Haas and a slew of celebrity guests. I finished Have A Summah and really got to know one of my best friends Howard Kremer here. I edited all of Hollywood Said No! the Mr. Show audiobook at that desk, so probably all the stuff when I look back will define me the most. I had three nervous breakdowns, licked my wounds, laughed myself to tears and picked myself up off my feet in this lil actor slum. So with this long over sentimental post, I must say good riddance to this little room and as always move on to greener pastures! 👋
Congratulations, Dustin! We are so proud of you! <3
